The gaming industry has been around for sometimes now, at least we are in the seventh generation of the game. What popularized the game was the entrance of Microsoft into the system with the introduction of the Xbox. However before the euphoria that it generated could settle Microsoft introduced another one in 2005 called the Xbox 360. Since then the history of the industry has changed with Sony emerging as the arch rivalry. Soon after the introduction of Xbox 360, Sony responded with its playstation. Since then there has been keen competition between the two such that both went to the laboratory about the same time to develop their latest products. Since then there is an unending speculation about what the two products both from Microsoft ( Xbox 720 ) and Sony would look like.

Microsoft already knows the challenges that await it. It is determined to ensure that the new generation game will be a remarkable improvement on the old game system from every ramification of the game. Starting from the space the company must have to increase the space on the new game console to accommodate more features. The bigger the space the faster the resolution time and faster the game would be. Currently the Xbox has a storage capacity of about 20 GB. It is suggested that there should be at least an increase of up to twenty percent of that space on the Xbox 720 to enable the system to be faster because of other features that it may accommodate. The video format it should support should not be anything less than WMV that is the Windows media Video which is the system in place in the Xbox 360; we are not expecting anything less than that. The current H. 264 supported by the Xbox 360 must be increased in the new game that will be produced. Additionally the features that would display photos must also be enhanced to make it more enjoyable to the users.

If all these features are modified we are expecting that the Xbox 720 would be better than Xbox 360 in terms of performance and availability of programmes. Until the programme is launched nobody would be sure of what will be there and what would not be there. However a new product that will be based on popular demand and out of research we expect that it will be superior to its predecessors. This is because there will be area of improvement and development. The level of technological development cannot be the same as it was in 2005. The new product will therefore recognize the change in technology and development.
